This online portfolio should give you a better comprehension of who I am and why my goal is to be a proficient educator. I am currently pursuing my degree in social studies education at Minnesota State University. Some of my other hobbies include traveling, reading, yoga, horticulture, sports, and politics. While completing my education, I also spend time volunteering at the Lincoln Community Center teaching ESL, and for the Salvation Army during the holidays. I am also involved in Public Achievement, which is a program that allows me to help middle school students battle civic issues, and I plan to volunteer for the democratic campaign for the upcoming 2008 election.
